Day 12 we arrive in Austin 4th of July

We got a fairly early start and head off to Austin via Dallas.

Our plan is to stop in Dallas for lunch and visit the JFK museum which is called the 6th floor museum. 

We went to whole foods for lunch. Then went downtown to the 6th floor museum.
It is called that because it is on the 6th floor of the old school book depository where Lee Harvey Oswald perched to shoot President Kennedy. 

This shot is from a 6th floor window near where Oswald stood. The actual window has glass walls around to preserve the crime scene.

The X in the Road is where Kennedy was shot.

 The next two shots are standing on the X in the road and looking up at the window. It is the window in the corner second from the top.

We are off to Austin. 

We are staying in a refurbished motel built in 1938.

Head dinner that night at the Snack Bar right next to the Motel.
